At Adventures on the Hill Summer Camp DC, we are all about making learning a fun, hands-on experience that children will remember for years to come. Our well-rounded curriculum lets campers explore their interests in STEM, sports, culture, health and wellness, and more. By providing a variety of interests, we encourage our campers to pursue their passions and dive head-first into their own learning.
Busy Bees Music & Art Summer Camp combines a comfortable home base and daily field trips to local museums and parks. Depending on their age, campers spend from 2-5 hours outside of camp each morning with additional trips to our local playground in the afternoon as appropriate. In addition, campers enjoy daily circle times, music, and art projects at our camp facility conveniently located 1 block from the Potomac Avenue subway station. Our campers return to us summer after summer because we provide dedicated hands-on care to campers ages 2-9 years old. Half and full days available, partial and full weeks. We get to know our campers and form a fun summer camp family year after year!
Every summer, we offer seven one-week sessions, each with a variety of programs for children ages four to fourteen. The day begins at 9:00am and ends at 4:00pm. For an additional fee, extended care is available from 8:00 to 9:00am and from 4:00 to 6:00pm.Many Summer Camp instructors are CHDS teachers and members of the SchoolÕs After School Program staff, as well as other invited professionals. The number of campers in each group ranges from 20 to 30, depending on the program. At least two adults are always with each group.
CitySkouts is a city-centric STEM program for kids ages 5+. We offer weekly city exploration field trips, play, and hands-on learning. We use the city to explore sustainability and natural resources (clean air and water), technology (virtual reality and drones), engineering (metro, bridges, and infrastructure), and math (city buildings and structures). #thecityisourlab
