Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital is not only your neighborhood spot for art galleries and thoughtful programming, but a place for your child to learn and play all summer long! Our program partners host camps for Super Girls, Young Warriors, Mad Scientists, Math Wizards, and Prodigy Film Makers. Make Hill Center your one-stop destination for a variety of great camps all summer long!
Home Run Baseball Camp has been run for over a decade on Capitol Hill. Both beginners and experienced baseball players are welcome and will be challenged, encouraged and instructed. Campers can expect a safe, fun, and instructive environment featuring two games a day. Our focus will be on deep rounds of volume repetition with an eye on technical proficiency. We have a coaching staff made up of many camp alums who create a safe, encouraging environment where every player is treated with respect, kindness, and fairness. . . .
We feature two games per day and we group by age not ability. This develops peer leaders and allows for baseball and social growth with teammates the same age.
The Young Warriors Program, teaching karate and self defense, is offering half-day, week-long, action-packed karate clinics to youth ages 7 and up! All belt levels, including beginners new to karate, are welcome. Students will participate in daily, individualized karate instruction and will build confidence and martial arts skills through various fun-filled, structured activities. Karate instruction will include kata, self-defense, and sparring with peers.
